Traditional Couples - Accordion - Clarinet - Dance - Free Duo - Traditional Singing

Initially, the "Faites de la Montagne" purpose was the organisation of a "Sonneurs de couple" contest dedicated to "Montagne" historical region. Today, this "sonneurs" contest is still the festival's heart but other contest and animations have been added.

The contest is a qualifier (except Youth) for the Brittany Championship wich takes place in Gourin every first week-end of September.

3 categories are proposed for the contest :

Scottish Bagpipe / Bombarde : Michel Keranguyader Trophy	Breton Bagpipe / Bombarde : Iffig Com Trophy	Any Bagpipe / Bombarde : Youth Trophy

The contest is divided into two parts:

• March / Melody : In the morning, Duos have to play a March followed by a Melody. Usually, Scottish bagpipe/Bombarde and Youth contests take place in the presbytary garden. Breton bagpipe/Bombarde contest takes place in Town Hall Square.

• Gavotte (dance) : In the afternoon, duos have to play a "Gavotte", the traditionnal dance from "Montagne" historical region. Everybody plays on the Square, on an outdoor stage, in front of the wood floor where there is the Dance contest.

If it is raining, contests move inside the sports Hall, located 500 meters away.
